"Sweet Sixteen" In this latest series, entitled "Sweet Sixteen," Purvis continues to build on his earlier work concerning gay sensuality by focusing on urban youth in America. With the assistance of two teenage couples from the Hetrick-Martin High School in New York, Purvis provides images that reach beyond issues of acceptance or tolerance, representing rather a celebration of identity and sexual awakening.
